![]() ![]() At that point kick start Light room and MIGRATE the Lightroom Classic catalog to Light room Cloud. If you do have a lot of Photos in a disk structure that you want to move to Cloud then the best way is to import them to Classic then create nested Collections that reflect the folder structure (this is a single menu operation). There are also differences between Collections in Classic and Albums in Cloud that make it a bit fiddly. them back to my Lightroom Classic database where I can move them into my "masters" folder structure. I also use Lightroom on iPhone to automatically transfer iPhone Camera images to the Lightroom Cloud and automatically sync. My masters are in Lightroom Classic and synched as Smart Previews to the cloud so I can view and edit them on the move or to show friends. Note that you can also have a sort of hybrid solution which is what I do. ![]() All the photos are automatically synched back to Classic into a date based hierarchy Now, If you import pictures using Lightroom (cloud) then you can sync full resolution images back to Lightroom Classic and edit them there, but then you won't be able to use a custom folder structure. If you also have access to Lightroom Cloud then you can edit these smart previews on iPad, iPhone or Mac/Windows and the edits will propagate back to Lightroom Classic. This does not uses any of your 20GB or 1TB cloud allowance. If you import photos using Lightroom Classic, your images can be stored in the cloud, but as smart previews only. ![]()
